Robert Conn

Induction Award

Born and raised in Springwater, Robert “Rob” Conn was an exceptional multi-sport athlete who forged a hockey legacy defined by elite versatility, immense heart, and exemplary leadership. Following his late father George, a 2024 Hall of Fame inductee, into Springwater sports history, Rob was a standout product of the Elmvale Minor Hockey Association. He anchored an Atom team and two Bantam squads to OMHA Championships, notably leading his 1988–89 Bantam team in scoring and earning Best Defensive Player honours at the Silver Stick tournament. His exceptional versatility allowed him to seamlessly excel at both centre and defence. Rob made a smooth transition to junior hockey with the OHA Junior B Barrie Colts, serving as Assistant Captain and earning praise as one of Simcoe County’s brightest, most unselfish prospects.
