Wilma Giffen Highlights

Wilma was recognized by the Ontario Good Roads Association Long Service Award for 42 years of municipal service.   Her volunteer resume covers many other activities as a lifelong member of Edenvale Women’s Institute where she held many positions including the updating of Edenvale’s Tweedsmeer History Book.  Her role as volunteer at church functions was varied and widespread.

1990:  Inducted into the Vespra Recreation Hall of Fame.  Wilma was recognized by Reeve Harry Adams and Council for her dedication and loyalty to the residents of Vespra Township and surrounding areas.

2014:  Inducted into the Springwater Sports Heritage Hall of Fame.  Wilma’s husband Graydon Giffen was honoured to accept the plaque on Wilma’s behalf
