2016 Athlete Inductee  I  2016 Builder Inductee  I  2016 Team Inductee

Springwater Sports Heritage, with great disappointment, is grieving the loss of its only triple Hall of Famer.  In 2016 Stan was Inducted into Springwater Sports Heritage Hall of Fame in all three categories.  It is safe to declare that Stan touched a multitude of bases on and off the ice and field of play.  As a widely respected sports legend his dedication to both athletics and community will remain a significant part of his legacy.  Over a period of five decades Stan was recognized as an outstanding competitive athlete and a respected team player on numerous hockey and baseball championship teams.  Frequently Stan’s valuable contributions were recognised when he was elevated to the league or tournament All-Star Team.  Following his successful playing career Stan continued to give back to the sports he loved as an active coach and thoughtful sponsor.  Two of Stan’s brothers, Grant and Russell are also Springwater Sports Heritage Hall of Fame Inductees.  They often were teammates and together played a significant role in the successes of their teams.  Stan will also be remembered for his community and church participation.  Springwater Sports Heritage is honoured and proud to have Stan as an Inductee.
