Springwater Sports Heritage Mourns

The Board, Alumni, and Community of Springwater Sports Heritage extend their deepest and most heartfelt condolences to our Vice Chairperson, Barb Maw, her husband Jim, and the entire Maw family on the devastating loss of their daughter, Krissy, on June 14, 2026.

We will remember Krissy not only for her vibrant spirit, immense talents, and bright smile, but also with deep gratitude for the meaningful gifts she shared with our organization. Her supportive assistance in authoring narratives for our 2024 Induction Ceremony leaves a lasting mark on SSH, beautifully preserving the legacies of our Inductees through her remarkable eloquence and mastery of the written word.

The Maw family is a pillar of strength for Springwater Sports Heritage, and in this time of unimaginable grief, the SSH community stands firmly behind them. We hold Krissy and her loved ones closely in our thoughts and prayers.

May her final and selfless act of kindness as an organ donor bring comfort and the profound pride of knowing her beauty lives on, bringing life and hope to others.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 16th, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Elmvale & District Lion’s Club. In Krissy’s memory, donations may be made to Hospice Simcoe, Seasons Centre for Grieving Children, or Matthews House Hospice.
