Tim Belcourt Narrative


Tim was born in Elmvale and attended elementary and secondary school in Elmvale and has resided there his entire life.  The son of Lou and Annette, Tim is the second oldest of four (Ron, Tim, Brian and Louise).  He is married to Ellen and is the father of three wonderful daughters (Alicia, Kelly and Nikki) and the proud Grandpa to Chloe and Emmerson.
For a number of years Tim was the owner and operator of Elmvale Source for SportsHe is now employed by Point to Point Broadband in Barrie, Ontario.
As a sports enthusiast and participant, Tim was a well rounded athlete.  He was an accomplished hockey player, fastball pitcher and an avid golfer with the  later remaining  his passion.
Some of Tim's most celebrated accomplishments include-
--A Canadian and World Championship
--Four Ontario Championships
--Induction into four  Halls of Fame--  Canadian Curling Hall of Fame--- Midland Hall of Fame---Penetang  Hall of Fame and Springwater Sports Heritage Hall of Fame
--He has received Life Memberships in Penetang, Midland and Elmvale Curling Clubs
Tim presently limits his curling to the occasional bonspiel and local leagues at the Elmvale Club.  He has given back by conducting clinics for new members and others seeking help. He invited his friend, renowned curler Ed Werenich, to an exhibition Skins game at the Elmvale Club raising a considerable amount of funds for the Club.  Presently Tim serves on the Club executive.
Tim is especially proud and honoured to have been inducted into the Springwater Sport Heritage Hall of Fame.
