Lou Belcourt Highlights


 
Pre-1961: Won the Vespra Softball League Championship playing Junior and Senior fastball for the Edenvale teams.
1961: Formally joined the Elmvale team in the competitive Georgian Bay League.
1962: Signed with Torgis Automotive in the Barrie Senior Major League while simultaneously capturing the Georgian Bay Senior Championship with Elmvale.
1962: Coached the Elmvale Bantam hockey team to the All-Ontario Little N.H.L. "D" Championship.
1964–65: Powerfully anchored the Elmvale Palace Hotelmen to back-to-back Barrie Senior Major League Championships as the starting catcher.
1969–72: Returned to the newly formed Elmvale Intermediate team, capturing four consecutive Barrie Intermediate League Championships.
1977: Drove an 18th-inning game-winning RBI in the Southern Ontario Final before capturing the O.A.S.A. Intermediate "C" Provincial Championship with the Elmvale Merchants on Thanksgiving weekend.
Post-Playing Career: Served as President of the Elmvale Curling Club, initiating the major building expansion and modernization project.
Curling Milestone: Reached the Ontario Curling Association (O.C.A.) Masters playdown provincial finals representing Elmvale with Skip Bob Story.
