1982:  Attended Hockey Development Camp in Kingston

1982:  Chosen as one of top 66 Midget players in ON.

1982-1983:  Midland Centennials- O.H.A. Jr. C

1983:  Drafted  in 6th round by Kingston Canadians-Major Jr. A
            Left camp early to pursue a U.S.A. College Scholarship

1983-1984:  Orillia Travelways- Centennial Cup Canadian Finalists- Tier 11 Jr. A

1984-1985:  Orillia Travelways -Centennial Cup Canadian Champions-Tier 11 Jr. A

1985-1986:  Orillia Travelways- Centennial Cup Canadian Finalists- Tier 11 Jr. A

1985-1986:  Orillia Travelways top scorer and League All Star Team-Tier 11 Jr. A.

1986:  Scored a hat trick in league All Star game- Tier 11 Jr. A.

1986-1990:  Received a full four year scholarship with Colorado College-W.C.H.L.

1986:  Drafted in the 12th round by New Jersey Devils- N.H.L.

1986 &1987:  Colorado College- All Academic Team-W.C.H.L.

1990: Voted Colorado College M.V.P. honours-W.C.H.L.

1990: Attended New Jersey Training Camp - N.H.L.

1991-92 to 1996-97:Straubing Tigers E.H.C.- German Professional team

1991-1997:  Amassed 613 points in 282 games

1997-98 to 1999-00:  Frankfurt Lions- German Professional Elite League

2000:  Voted top foreign player Straubing Tiger’s history

2000:  Straubing Tigers honoured Doug by retiring his jersey

2000-2001:  Joined Greenville  where he played with his brother Scott- E.C.H.L.

2005:  Sapporo Polaris- Japan

2014:  Doug, as well as his brother Scott, inducted into the Springwater Sports
            Heritage Hall of Fame.
